IT Software Engineer Job summary 1 Main Financial is currently seeking qualified candidates for our IT Software Engineer position within our Applications Development group, located in EVANSVILLE, INDIANA. The applicant should be able to adapt to a challenging high energy environment working with batch and real-time systems involving consumer loan booking and servicing activities. Changes will need to be coordinated with other IT development teams. Individual will be expected to effectively work with customers from varying departments including Finance, Legal, Operations, Treasury, Marketing and Risk. Duties and responsibilities include: Responsible for interpreting functional qualifications, developing technical specifications from functional qualifications, designing and coding applications using COBOL programming language in a mainframe environment. Ensure products, applications, documents and systems meet established quality standards and qualifications. May assist with training of other developers.
