COVENANT HOUSE CALIFORNIA Job Description POSITION TITLE: Grant Writer STATUS: Non-exempt REPORTS TO: Grants Coordinator POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under the supervision of the Grants Coordinator, the Grant Writer will be responsible for the research, writing, reporting, contract and relationship management of assigned grant contracts for CHC programs as well as foundation relationships as assigned. This includes coordination with program staff, quality assurance and executive leadership, as well as relationship building activities with local, state and federal organizations. KEY FUNCTIONS: Research and identify private, local, state and federal funding sources for CHC programs. Identify proposal and reporting requirements and submission deadlines. Participate in grant team meetings and communications to determine goals and objectives, scope, feasibility and program funding needs.
