School Based Youth Counselor - (Dubuque, IA)

Job Purpose : Provides specialized counseling, psychotherapy, consultation and evaluation services to children and adolescents in a school based setting. Regulatory Qualifications: Master's degree in psychology, mental health counseling or social work from licensed school. Professional licensure preferred. Related prior background in mental health/counseling with school aged children required. Must complete Mandatory Reporter for Child/Dependent Adult Abuse training within 4 months of hire date. Must successfully complete child/dependent adult abuse and criminal background investigation, including DHS evaluation (if needed, including documentation of follow-through for any stated employment restrictions); reference check forms (min of two); and employment physical, TB test and drug screen prior to contact with clients and as required thereafter.
