Postdoctoral Research Associate, Brookes Group in the Department of Chemistry - (Missoula, MT)

The Brookes group of the Department of Chemistry of the University of Montana seeks an outstanding applicant to work primarily on advancement of the US-SOMO software in the hydrodynamics and SAS areas. The majority of the effort is expected to be on software engineering, including enhancement or recreation of multidimensional optimization routines, integration of new capabilities and the modularizing and isolation of components in US-SOMO and integration of US-SOMO modules into GenApp. Some of the technologies potentially involved are listed in the Desired Requirements section below, but may include others. Developed software is expected to be robust and conform to coding standards with corner cases and exceptions fully handled. The Brookes group primarily develops and supports scientific software.
