Software Quality Engineer I The Software Quality Engineer I is responsible for verifying that the software released meets client requirements and is of the upmost quality. This position has no direct reports. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIT I ES: Analyze root cause of issues reported from user acceptance testing Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments Create test strategies, test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures with supervision and guidance Leverage automated test scripts for test execution Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error and defect retests, and usability Document test procedures to ensure compliance with standards Document and report software defects using a bug tracking system Identify program deviance from standards, and suggest modifications to ensure compliance Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function
