Building Operations Technician III - (Hayward, CA)

SUMMARY This senior-level position is required to work unaided using advanced skills and knowledge of building operations, with an emphasis on support for Exploratorium Special Events and Museum Rentals. The Operations Department is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, repairs, improvements and upgrades of the Exploratoriums physical plant, facilities, and systems. REQUIRED FUNCTIONS Provide technical ability for Museum Rentals, Special Events, and programmatic operations, including: logistical support, troubleshooting building systems, and addressing safety and security functions. Supervise load-in, installation and load-out of vendors and equipment for events. This includes the event space, staging area, greenroom and catering prep areas. Provide training and leadership for other technical staff at events, and collaborate with event organizers on facilities needs.
