Position description Position: Executive Chef Department: Dining Services Mission To enrich the quality of life of our residents by creating a sustainable, nurturing and professional environment through caring, personalized service. Purpose The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Culinary Operations Department in order to maintain the highest quality of food product and service to all residents. Essential Job Functions Duties and Responsibilities Culinary Operations Assist with the directing, planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and surveying the Culinary Operations Department programs and activities. Review menus prior to preparation of food. Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus, standards, and recipes. Meals must be palatable and appetizing in appearance.
