Special Education Teacher - (Schenectady, NY)

Special Education Teacher Whispering Pines Preschool is now accepting applications for the position of Special Education Teacher for the 2018-2019 school year. New York State Certification in Special Education (Student with Disabilities Birth to second Grade) is required. The perfect candidate will bring a passion for the mission of Whispering Pines Preschool, an understanding and respect for children and families from diverse groups, and background working in pediatric settings. A solid knowledge base and strong desire for working with children with intensive needs (autism, high sensory/behavioral needs, non-traditional classroom setting/self-contained classroom leadership) is preferred. The Special Education teacher reports to the Site Supervisor and to the Executive Director.
