Counselor - direct care all shifts - greenwich, norwalk, stamford - (Greenwich, CT)

Job summary We are currently looking for both part-time and full-time Direct Care Counselors to join our team! Overview: Abilis is a non-profit organization that provides services to people with developmental disabilities over the course of their lives. The Associate/Direct Care Counselor works in 1 of our residential group homes, located throughout Greenwich and Stamford, and is a key player in ensuring that the people we support are given every opportunity to live independent lives. Requirements: High-school certificate or GED Previous background providing direct care support to people with developmental disabilities is preferred, but not necessarily required. A current drivers license that allows a person to be insured as designated by our vehicle insurance carrier. Our employees must have held their license for at least 3 consecutive years. The expertise to maintain / receive CPR certifications. Be physically able to perform CPR and the Heimlich maneuver.
