Postdoctoral Scientist in Metagenomics and Bioinformatics - (Dover, DE)

This is a research opportunity in the area of Metagenomics studyin the Food Microbiology Lab at Delaware StateUniversity. DESCRIPTION Assignments include, but are not limited tostudy of microbiomederived from various foods and its application to food safety, preparation ofmanuscripts, proposals, and reports, supervision of graduate students in theFood Microbiology lab, etc. QUALIFICATION This position is open to a Ph.D. and Ph.D. applicants with anemphasis on omics study and food biotechnology. Applicants must have experiencesof Metagenomic, NGS techniques Illumina, bioinformatics tools, Genbank, and moleculartechniques DNA recombination, Realtime PCR assays including primer/probedesign and copy number quantification. Proteomics Mass spectrometry, FPLC/NGC, DNArecombination/expression will be plus.Effective oral and written correspondence abilities arepreferred.Applicants must be independently willing to perform researchprojects and collaborations with diversity in DSU.
