Assistant Professor of Wind Conducting & Marching Band - (Lubbock, TX)

Assistant Professor of Wind Conducting & Marching Band Position responsibilities: Master's degree in wind conducting or equivalent professional expertise required; terminal degree (DMA or PhD) preferred. Significant background with collegiate athletic bands, as well as proven success conducting concert ensembles. Successful public-school teaching background is required. Record of professional activity and/or research/creative scholarship that demonstrates emerging or established national recognition in marching band, wind conducting, or music education is encouraged. A demonstrated and ongoing commitment to serving diverse student populations, and strong evidence of the ability and desire to perform service. Duties include, but are not limited to, recruiting, program-building, and commitment to extra-curricular activities in the school, college, university, and community.
