Research Billing Coordinator - (Louisville, KY)

The research billing coordinator position is responsible for facilitating the UMC departmental review process to help determine the impact to operations in affected areas and to help ensure all costs are identified and any concerns are addressed early in the facility review process. The position also coordinates the monthly accounting and reporting of research services and related accounts receivable, including patient accounting and the additional administrative tasks that our clinical service lines must complete per research protocol qualifications. Review daily reports of research subject registrations and subject activity reported by clinical researchers and match those to patient encounters to place holds for charge review and scrubbing prior to claims processing. Review patient fees and/or orders, coverage analysis, protocol, consent, and budget for research subjects encounters to determine which items need to be removed from carrier claims.
