Senior Software Developer - Java (GovPay) - (Indianapolis, IN)

Job Purpose: Contributes on all phases of the development cycle of GovPayNet applications, including: design, development, and QA support for developed components. Essential Duties: Develop technical requirements and interface specifications Design technical solution that meet business requirements Develop solutions using Java and other open source technologies for both front end and back end requirements Analyze business requirements and estimate level of effort Create and perform Unit and Integration tests Support deployment activities Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Software engineering Lifecycle (SDLC) deliverables JDBC/SQL/Relational Databases (i.e. MySQL/MariaDB) Web UI development using HTML/CSS/JavaScript Junit background Maven based Java build tools Version control background (SVN/GIT) Linux/Windows background Expertise to work with diverse teams Expertise to take total ownership of assigned components Team member and a self-starter Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting
