Key functions: Assists in major and minor utility shut-downs, requested by facilities projects, outside vendors or contractors and in-house shops. Does plumbing and steam fitting, alterations and repairs on hot and cold water, sewer, steam process and heating, gas, air pressure, vacuum and oxygen systems, chilled water systems, etc. Installs new piping for sterilizers, laundry, and other building equipment in accordance with national and local code requirements. Makes sketches of proposed changes for purpose of making or correcting working drawings for future reference.
