DescriptionArea of Accountability:Value analysis and cost reduction of trailer suspension system products.--Position Purpose:State general brief description of nature of the position; overview of why the job exists and what it is to accomplish.Key functions:1.Creation of new product design adaptations by creating layout drawings, detailed drawing, engineering calculations, etc., necessary to insure the proper fit and function of new designs2.Perform analysis and actively interface with other departments to develop the most efficient product designs in terms of weight, durability and cost effectiveness and manufacturability.3.Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Design Engineering, and Test Engineering to obtain the best overall design solutions.4.Coordinate with outside suppliers the technical design and test requirements on projects.QualificationsEducation and Training---Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
