Dining Room Supervisor - San Francisco - (San Francisco, CA)

SUMMARY: Responsible for the direct supervision of dining room staff to assure smooth operation of the dining room and trayline. REQUIRED FUNCTIONS: Responsible for supervision, training, motivation, performance appraisals and progressive discipline of food service staff in conjunction with Dining Room Manager and/or Food Service Director. Schedules stations for meal periods and side work for waitstaff. Records meal counts and calculates guest billings of residents participating in the daily meal services. Assures smooth operation of the dining room during meal service in seating residents and dealing with various problems of service. Supervises waitstaff to ensure compliance with written department service procedures and ensures that standards relating to quality, cleanliness, timeliness and courtesy are maintained. Handles and resolves complaints according to established guidelines; reports issues to management as appropriate.
