Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Thomasville, GeorgiaPosition at Hood Lumber Hood Industries' Metcalfe, GA sawmill is seeking experienced Millwrights (Industrial Mechanics) for our newly created weekend shift. Duties include, but not limited to, diagnose and make needed repairs to Saws, Edgers, Sorters, Stacking, etc. equipment; preventative maintenance; fabricate equipment and make modifications; repair or replace chains; belt conveyors; gear boxes/drive chains; hydraulics & pneumatics; welding/cutting; and using power tools.The successful applicant must have 2+ years of industrial maintenance background in a heavy manufacturing environment. The background should include troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance to a variety of production equipment including belts, sprockets, chains, shafts, gears, motor/drive alignment, pumps, etc. Strong stick welding/fabrication and knowledge of hydraulics & pneumatics a must.
