Post-doctoral scientist-Epigenetics - (Chicago, IL)

The Global Therapeutics Research group seeks a post-doctoral scientist to develop in vitro assays that can support mechanistic understanding of the epigenetic regulation. The main area of emphasis will be immune related phenomena such as innate immune training, tolerance induction, and the role of epigenetics in inflammatory diseases. The postdoc will develop methods for chromatin isolation and targeted mass spectrometry using e.g. locus, genomic DNA pulldown approaches. The applicant should have experience in immune cell isolation, monocyte differentiation, functional assays, and immuno-phenotyping. The applicant should also have a strong desire to collaborate with multiple functions including the mass spectrometry and biology teams to develop the ChIP-MS methods The successful applicant should have completed a PhD in immunology or cell biology with an emphasis on epigenetics. In addition, the applicant should have been exposed to mass spectrometry based proteomics.
