Director of Real Estate - Retail Business Services - (Greater Landover, MD)

The primary purpose of this position is to lead, direct and manage the real estate staff and all real estate activities for (i) supermarket and related operating facilities (including new stores, replacement stores, expansions, fuel facilities and e-commerce facilities) within 1 or more Operating Brands; (ii)(iii) core store support, including lease extensions, lease amendments, changes in use (beer gardens, food courts, etc), waivers, easements, consents, and use restrictions; (iv) brokerage, landlord and developer relationships; (v) monitoring and verifying competitive activity within each division; and (vi) protecting our real estate business interest through litigation as appropriate. This position will recommend to Senior Management an overall storing strategy that will achieve the Companys stated objectives for new stores and acquisitions including those related to store closings, lease renewals
