Electrical Engineer - (Durham, NC)

Position summary Cree is looking for a self-motivated, hands-on engineer with experience in electronics to support the development of Industrial Lighting products. This engineer will work within cross-functional teams of marketing, engineering, and manufacturing professionals to develop, design, qualify and introduce products and systems into production. Responsibilities include ownership of engineering activities such as electrical system product design, test, qualification, and standards compliance. A successful applicant will be a resourceful problem solver who is able to work around technical obstacles and can implement practical solutions. Responsibilities Design, develop, qualify, and release electronics systems for lighting Support component level selection / design and evaluation including LED drivers, wireless cards, sensors, and filters Support compliance effort for EMC and safety approvals for US and international markets.
