System Operator - (Orange, CT)

Job details: Directs the field crews and controls the switching of the UI Transmission and Distribution system in-line withcorporate safety and reliability goals and objectives and other Company policies and Department. processes andprocedures. This position is responsive to customers' needs and must balance customer need for quality andtimeliness with cost efficiency and other resource constraints. Generally, this position works independently on themajor responsibilities of this position. Lead administrative, communications and operational functions of the ElectricSystem Operations Center. Critical responsibilities: * Lead operation of UI's System Ops. Center, monitoring the status of the transmission and distribution system tomaintain its integrity with the highest level of safety while promoting established work practices in accordance withpolicies and procedures.* Lead dispatchers & field personnel during normal & emergency conditions.
