Duties & Responsibilities Familiarity in the Steel Estimating business is required; in addition, an understanding of securing project invitations from a variety of sources, including several well-established on line plan rooms. Expertise to read plans from various plan rooms and in various formats. If you are experienced in doing take-off's with construction software or industry standard software, this will be a benefit. All plans are paperless and much of the estimating is done with software such as Fabsuite, Bluebeam or equivalent. --- Training in TEKLA and CAD coursework. is highly desireable. --- Coordinate and prepare estimates using on line plans. Prepare pricing estimates on potential new projects.
