Part-time AV Technician/Media Specialist I - (Tazewell, VA)

Southwest Virginia Community College is seeking a motivated and self-starting individual for the position of A/V Technician for Campus Events. The Technician will attend and support campus events to ensure all systems are maintained and adjusted properly to provide clear and crisp sound and video for the best possible presentation background. The Technician will perform setup; tear down, testing and sound checks to meet the A/V needs of a variety of speakers and events. The technician will also respond to basic support requests for electronic classrooms. This position will require evening and weekend hours when necessary, and schedule will vary. Min Requirements Expertise to move and lift speakers and other equipment weighing roughly 50 pounds. Expertise to work from a ladder with heights up to 18â will be required when necessary. Background with audio and visual equipment preferred; such as microphones, speakers, Bi-Amps, PAâs, mixers, lighting, projection, and video recording equipment.
