Spay / Neuter and Wellness Veterinarian - (Greensboro, NC)

The Humane Society of the Piedmont's Planned Pethood Clinic is seeking a full-time wellness and high volume spay/neuter associate veterinarian. Applicant should be comfortable performing up to twenty sterilization procedures per day in addition to pre-operative and wellness exams and basic sick care, e.g. simple ear infections and dental cleanings. Essential Job Functions 1. Provide quality preventative medicine to the community 2. Educate clients about the value of preventative care such as heartworm and flea prevention, while providing excellent customer service and care to clients 3. Vaccinate pets against rabies and other disease, implant microchips and perform other veterinary medical procedures 4. Work and communicate with other veterinarians and technicians to provide the best medical care 5. Examine animals preoperatively to determine their expertise to undergo anesthesia and surgery 6. Perform surgical sterilizations 7. Examine animals postoperatively to ensure appropriate healing
