Sports Program Assistant - (Prairie Village, KS)

Overview Under the direction of the Sports Director the Program Assistant is responsible for assisting in the direction, implementation and evaluation of specifically assigned sports program projects. In this position the Sports Program Assistant will ensure that all programs to which they are assigned are properly supplied and run in accordance with the Mission and Core Values of the YMCA. Responsibilities* Assists Sports Director with field preparation and maintenance.* Assists Sports Director with league formation activities.* Assists in promoting leagues.* Distributes info to coaches and parents.* Assists in data entry of program registrations in sports database.* Monitor officials during games.* Supervises practice sites.* Assists in inventory of uniforms, trophies, equipment, etc.* Assists in recruitment and communication with coaches.* Serves as official or umpire as needed.* Assists in sports camps.* Be a team member with all staff.* Must notify appropriate staff of any unsafe conditions
