Medical biller collections specialist - (Vista, CA)

Job details We are seeking a Medical Collections Specialist who will be responsible for all billing and collections functions for a growing Diagnostics company. Primary duties include following up with insurance companies on claim status, gathering and submitting any missing info, rebilling, appeals, denials and collections. Responsible for working aging accounts as determined by Billing Manager. Maintains confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations. Performs other duties as deemed appropriate by management. REQUIREMENTS Min 2+ years of background in full cycle Billing/Collections. Background in laboratory billing helpful and preferred. Background with appeals and non- contracted billing preferred. Knowledge of CPT, ICD & HCFA 1500 MUST have strong computer and communication abilities, Microsoft excel a must. Expertise to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and providers Expertise to read and understand an EOB.
