Health Care Surveyor - Southern Region - (Adams, MA)
This position functions as a member of the survey team conducting program monitoring activities and ensuring compliance with federal regulations and state codes for licensure, program certification, and eligibility for participation in Medicare and Medicaid programs within nursing facilities, skilled nursing facilities and long term care facilities. The position ensures compliance with standards and rules in the following areas: admissions, transfers, and discharges; resident rights; staffing and census; quality of care assessment; quality of life assessment; resident care plans; social, psychological and rehabilitative services; providing medical services; and therapeutic activity programming. The surveyor is responsible for providing ability within the survey team in the areas identified above and serves as team coordinator as designated. In addition, this position investigates complaints and conducts follow-up and surveillance visits.
