MUNICIPAL SERVICES & OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT--STARTING SALARY: $21.09 TO $30.16 PER HOUR DOQ--(STARTING SALARY TYPICALLY AT ENTRY-LEVEL OF PAY RANGE)-- RESPONSIBILITIESThis position performs a wide variety of analytical and technical duties involved in the analyses of drinking water, wastewater and related material samples for organic and inorganic constituents.--Duties include conducting quality assurance checks and passing unknown standards required by the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NELAP).--This position is responsible for interpreting analytical results for both water and wastewater quality; assisting in the development and implementation of various applied research projects; and ensuring compliance with federal, state and local qualifications and regulations regarding water and wastewater quality standards.-- QUALIFICATIONSEquivalent to an Associate's degree with major course work in chemistry, biology or a related position.
