The National Science Foundation (NSF) Division of Mathematical Sciences (DMS) aims to provide opportunities to enrich the training of graduate students in the Mathematical Sciences through the provision of a NSF Mathematical Sciences Graduate Internship (MSGI) Program. This program will provide an opportunity for mathematical sciences doctoral students to participate in internships at national laboratories, industry, and other approved facilities. The NSF Mathematical Sciences Graduate Internship offers the following benefits: Stipend: $1,200 per week Limited travel reimbursement to/from assigned location, if eligible: Up to $2,000 for authorized expenses Hands-on background of the use of mathematics in a nonacademic setting Understanding the application of advanced mathematical and statistical techniques to "real world" problems Identification of career goals and opportunities Development of professional networks with leading scientists and subject matter experts Locations: Various
