Position assignments Oversee the development, review and refinement of the organizational Patient Safety Program.* Coordinate the activities of the Patient Safety Committee.* Manage and monitor reported "near misses" and actual incidents involving medical errors.* Facilitate and coordinate data collection and analysis related to patient safety. Develop a mechanism for communication of patient safety related info to hospital staff, leaders and physicians. Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred Licensure/Certification/Registration : Licensed or eligible for licensure in Virginia as a healthcare professional. Background/ Skills: Four Years' background as a healthcare professional in a hospital or healthcare setting Skill in computer data entry and statistical analysis Expertise to work autonomously and be self-motivated General Comments Registered Nurse Preferred but applicants with Director Level Patient Safety and Risk background will be considered!
