Aircraft Worker (Upholstery) - (Fort Walton Beach, FL)
Removes, cleans, re-installs, replaces defective parts, accessories, and components. Researches and obtains replacement or repair parts/components utilizing owner parts manuals or technical orders. Use aircraft parts and drawings to manufacture replacement upholstered items. Operates an industrial grade sewing machine, install thread, wined bobbin, clean and oil machine, and make adjustments to the machine for different type fabric thicknesses. Fabricate aircraft insulation panels, aircraft equipment, and support equipment material using raw measurements, technical drawings, as well as per-sample using sewing machine, a tape measure/rule, and shears. Fits and installs hardware for the purpose of aircraft insulation using common upholstery tooling including but not limited to; punches, awls, grommet/snap setters, hog ring pliers, etc. Minimum requirements: Min of 4 yrs' Upholstery background. Familiar with Air Force 781 aircraft forms.
