Senior Welding Engineer - (Lowell, MA)

The Processes and Operations section of the Materials Engineering Department of Raytheon Company in Andover, MA is currently in need of an individual with technical ability in Welding Engineering and background with non-destructive testing and failure analysis of welds to support all phases of design and manufacturing. Duties will include design for manufacturability reviews, process selection and definition, supplier assessment and recommendation, failure analysis, weld inspection, welding procedure development, non-destructive testing analysis, training of welders and weld inspectors, administration of the welder certification program. The majority of time will be spent supporting manufacturing operations by performing technical assessments, implementing process and design refinements, monitoring and improving the quality of welded products.
