Personal Injury - Paralegal - (Cedarhurst, NY)

You will be responsible for organizing files from inception to trial. Must have 3-five years of background working in a personal injury law firm. Responsibilities and Requirements include: -Self-starter and highly motivated individual with strong management expertise and the expertise to multi-task successfully. - Handle No Fault and Workers Compensation aspects of files, ie. obtaining lost wages/disability, scheduling IME's and other doctor appointments, communicating with doctor's offices, and a strong understanding of the N/F process. -Obtain and review medical records. Must be able to read and understand medical documentation. Follow up with doctor and clients to ensure that proper treatment and diagnostic tests are performed timely. -Speak regularly with clients - confident phone skills are necessary. We are a small, dynamic and busy office with a large call volume. -Calendar Control - coordinating attorney court appearances and EBT's on a daily basis with our staff.
