Type 1 Wildland Firefighters- WOMEN opportunities - (Oxnard, CA)

CALLING ALL BACKPACKERS, HIKERS, ATHLETES OR FIRE ACADEMY STUDENTS! GAIN A CAREER IN FIGHTING FIRES IN CALIFORNIA!!! This is a youth development program for 18-25 yr olds or Veterans up to 29 yrs old. Live and work at the Camarillo Fire Center and get Type one Wildland Fire Training alongside CalFire Captains. No background necessary! Earn your High-school certificate, get fire certificates (free of cost) and earn scholarships to move towards a successful career path. IMMEDIATE OPENINGS FOR WOMEN ONLY! must be able to meet the following physical fitness standards -25 push-ups in one minute -25 sit-ups in one minute -5 pull-ups (or free hang) for one minute -2 mi run in eighteen minutes -3 mi hike with full PPE gear, hand tool, & 40+ lbs. pack in under 60 minutes Min qualifications: -Female -18-25yrs old or Veterans up to 29yrs old -Must be able to start in JANUARY 2019 -Must be able to pass physical demands (seen above) -Must be able to pass background investigation
