Design Engineer - (Akron, OH)

A Design Engineer is needed for a major international manufacturer of electrical components. This position is located at an R&D facility near Akron, OH. The primary purpose of this role will be the design of new products or redesign of existing products. He or she will perform CAD modeling and detail drawings, assist in patent searches, do necessary calculations, select materials, determine and coordinate tests, review and analyze costs, and solve design related problems. -- Qualifications A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar 5+ years recent background designing electrical products Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks, ElecNet, Coulomb or other electric analysis software Effective communication abilities Expertise to collaborate effectively with team members Applicants must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident. -- Preferred Design of high voltage electrical products Project management
