Underwriting Manager - (Flagstaff, AZ)

Job summary This position is responsible for all activities of the Underwriting Department at KNAU. The Underwriting Sales & Community Outreach Manager reports to KNAU's General Manager and is part of the station's leadership team. Responsible for Underwriting budget, which provides 30% of KNAU's operating budget. Meets or exceeds monthly sales goals Supervises full and part time underwriting account representatives. Grows business and corporate support in a strategic manner by soliciting new underwriting clients, initiating sales calls and effectively closing new contracts. Maintain existing client base by renewing contracts, writing copy which is compliant with FCC requirements and working with business owners to evaluate advertising/marketing needs and trends. Travel throughout northern Arizona and statewide to make sales presentations and provide ongoing customer service to station Underwriters. Manage timely collection on accounts. Interpret and understand media research and qualitative data.
