Forensic Lab Director - Sheriffs Office - (Greeley, CO)

Description The Lab Director will oversee the daily operation of all lab activities to serve the needs of the Northern Region Lab Group, testify in court as an expert witness, prepare the annual lab budget request, monitor lab expenditures, and maintain ISO 17025 forensic laboratory accreditation. The Forensic Lab Director works under the general direction of a multi-jurisdictional board comprised of the Weld County Sheriff's Office, the Greeley Police department, the Larimer County Sheriff's Office, the Fort Collins Police Services, the Loveland Police Department, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, and the District Attorney's (or designee) for the eighth and 19th Judicial Districts. The Lab Director is a Weld County employee, and day-to-day supervision is by the Undersheriff of the Weld County Sheriff's Office. The Lab Director will manage and administer the scientific and technical aspects of the forensic laboratory.
