Experienced Banquet Cook Description Summary of Job: As a cook for the Banquets team, you will be responsible for cooking and preparing all food while upholding and maintaining the NYS and 6 Flags food service standards Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Comply with all 6 Flags policies and proceduresCheck food to make sure of its quality and correct temperature as stated by NYS Department of HealthRegulate temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipmentPrepare food for cookingCook food by a range of methods (i.e. baking, frying, roasting or steaming)Divide food into portions and make sure that the food is well presentedClean food preparation areas and equipmentStore food in temperature-controlled equipmentMake sure kitchen is hygienic and functionalPrepare food to meet NYS Health Department as well as 6 Flag requirementsClean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensilsCook and package batches of food, such as hamburgers and fried chicken
