Radio Template Programmer - (Dimondale, MI)

Job Description This position is the recognized resource for the Southeast region of the State of Michigan. They will be responsible for approx 12,000 radios within that region. The position exercises responsibility for the development for radio programming files for distribution and installation into Michigan Public Safety Communications System (MPSCS) radios. The position is responsible to identify existing and request new Radio IDs, Talkgroups and Encryption for use in developing and building the templates installed into an MPSCS radio. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Expertise to organize and coordinate the work. Expertise to establish work priorities and assigns work to other radio/communications technicians. Required Education and Background Education Possession of an associate's degree in electronic technology. Background Three Years of background equivalent to a Radio/Communications Technician, including 1 year equivalent to a Radio/Communications Technician E10.
