Computer Information Technology Specialist II (Database Administrator) - (Jefferson City, MO)

Description: An individual in this position provides supervision of staff and all daily activities of the database services group, within primarily a Microsoft SQL Server environment and an Oracle environment. This individual is responsible for overseeing the planning, maintenance and development of databases within the SOS enterprise system. The Database Administrator is responsible for managing group personnel, schedules, and daily activities to meet the strategic goals of the Secretary of State's office. This position provides customer support, troubleshooting of problems, and mentoring of the Database Administration teammates. Responsibilities: The general responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following job functions. Team Management: Manage daily activities of the database administration group. Recoverability / Disaster Recovery: Oversee the development, creation, and testing of backups and backup plans with scheduled testing.
