Lead Robotics/Automation Programmer - (Elk Rapids, MI)

Role The Lead Robotic Programmer will contribute to the future success of the company by significantly contributing to the automation processes necessary for the manufacturing and performance of on time, on quality, machines. Under the Star brand name, Elk Rapids Engineering manufactures a complete line of 5-Axis CNC tool and cutter grinders for the manufacturing of end mills, high performance drills, step drills, form tools, orthopedic surgical instruments, as well as a large portfolio of gear tools. Responsibilities Program robotic application utilizing simulation, testing, and assistance to support and secure customer production. Create programs utilizing Fanuc, ABB, Moto Man, and other software for robotic applications. Provide technical support for electrical controls and troubleshooting for customers. PLC logic programming as it relates to robot programming I/O, zoning, and interfacing. Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment.
