Position summary Teaching Artist Objectives: 1. To design and implement lessons based on Community Change, CareerVisions, Peace and Legacy Models. 2. To ensure that the Models are implemented with integrity. Towards meeting these objectives, the teacher mentor will: Develop a mastery of the Models and select evidence-based curricula. Ensure the integrity of the Models and select evidence-based curricula and adherence to the timeline provided. Research exercises and references to develop lessons that support the Common Core Standards. Develop and implement lessons. Lessons should be aligned with the day school curriculum, intentionally integrate the Common Core Standards, and be based on the teacher’s choice of the Community Change, CareerVisions, Peace and Legacy Models. Provide professional guidance to assigned teachers. Regularly submit draft lesson plans and attendance along with timesheets. Attend scheduled meetings with company and/or its client(s). Coordinate meetings with the assigned teacher(s).
