Job Skills/Qualifications -Under the direction of a supervisor, the Security Officer performs general security work to protect persons and property and to prevent losses due to accidents and incidents. -Security Officers service institutional, industrial or commercial property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry. -Duties may include operating a motor vehicle for people and supply transport; patrol buildings and grounds of site; watch for and report irregularities such as fire hazards; write incident reports; record data such as property damage; conduct pat downs; prohibiting unauthorized persons from entering; and warning violators of rule infractions.
