Master Technician -Buses - (Greenville, NC)

PRIMARY FUNCTION : The primary function of this position is to troubleshoot, remove, install, replace, re-build, repair, and test parts/equipment and systems/subsystems on Transit Busses, Motor Coaches and other assigned vehicles and equipment at an expert level. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Review the work schedule, check the equipment and supplies required to perform the scheduled work, comply with PPE qualifications and otherwise prepare for duties. Use paper and electronic manuals, repair manuals, parts manuals and parts diagrams to troubleshoot engines, engine fuel systems and transmissions. Use lift trucks, overhead cranes, and other aides to lift or move parts into position to be repaired. Use hand and power tools to remove, install, replace, re-build, repair, and test parts and equipment Use miscellaneous resources and computers to reference parts, get info about parts and enter data into record systems.
