Veterinary Assistant - (Holly Springs, NC)

Job details We are looking to add a compassionate veterinary assistant to our new but growing, close-knit clinic family. You will be responsible for a wide spectrum of duties including administrative tasks, assisting veterinary staff in examining and treating animal patients, monitoring anesthesia during surgeries, upscale dental procedures, and general clinic sanitation. Duties may include but are not limited to: phlebotomy and intravenous catheter placement administration of medications (oral, ocular, injectable, topical, etc) pre-operative/post-operative care and hospitalization management/treatment surgical assisting and anesthetic monitoring dental scaling, cleaning, polishing, dental imaging and assisting doctor during extractions radiology laboratory sample processing (in house lab and preparing samples to send) client education expertise to work effectively and be motivated strong verbal and writing expertise inventory control Qualifications: one year of animal care background desired but not required
