Community Inclusion Specialist, Residential Direct Support - (Newark, DE)

Position summary St. John’s Community Services is seeking responsible, compassionate, and nurturing applicants interested in providing quality care in the home of adults with intellectual disabilities. The job necessitates direct support to individuals with intellectual disabilities in a group home and supported living setting; providing supervision, training, and guidance with daily activities. Community Integration Specialists will assist with the development and maintenance of social skills, promoting community inclusion, and be responsive to their personal, physical and behavioural needs. Substitute positions are currently available. Community Integration Specialist position necessitates: High-school diploma or equivalent and 1yr experience working with individuals with disabilities. Experience in community-based settings is a plus. Strong communication and written correspondence expertise are necessary.
