Community Outreach Coordinator - (Phoenix, AZ)

Position summary The ideal candidate needs to be outgoing and a heart for people. Be highly organized and detail oriented. You must be willing to operate independently with minimal supervision. You must be computer literate and be able to use the internet with ease and have at least a mid-level proficiency with Ms word and Ms excel. You must have a clean experience and be of high moral character. You must be MULTI-LINGUAL - English / Spanish. Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to: · Seeking out, scheduling and staffing outreach events within the community (Senior Centers, Senior Housing, Community Events, etc.) · Screen beneficiaries for eligibility for extra help programs and help them apply via the internet or at MPS office. · Follow-up on open applications to ensure required documentation is received by the agency so a decision can be reached. Notify beneficiaries of the status of their application and outcomes on a biweekly basis.
