Digital/Print Associate Editor - (Waukesha, WI)

Kalmbach Media Co. has an outstanding career opportunity for an Associate Editor for our science field. This person will be based at Discover, our award-winning science brand, as well as at our Astronomy brand. The Associate Editor serves a crucial role in editing and creating science content for all extensions of the Discover and Astronomy brands, digital and print. The position reports to the Executive Editor of Science and Editor in Chief of Discover. JOB ASSIGNMENTS/RESPONSIBILITIES: Shape digital storytelling, through writing, assigning and editing stories that engage our readers. Develop and oversee feature stories, magazine departments, columns, news stories and digital content, and oversee coverage of specific science topics based on her or his interests and ability. Maintain and develop productive relationships with top freelance science journalists and work with other staff members to conceive and develop high quality science content.
