Estimator For 50+ years we have been a premier fabricator for Pressure Vessels and Heat Exchangers in exotic alloys (Stainless Steel, Nickel, Inconel, Hastelloy, Titanium, etc ) Job Functions Material Takeoff. Able to read and interpret blueprints. Communicate effectively with teammates, suppliers and customers. Develop and perform quality takeoffs from drawings. Read and comprehend customer specifications. Determine type and size of material required for projects. Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors by accurately identifying and specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors; negotiating price, etc Review concerns and issues with Purchasing, Estimator, Engineering, Fabrication and Management to determine best approach to projects concerning unclear drawings, missing details, specification clarifications, best fabrication practices, possible suppliers for material pricing, etc. Able to multitask and handle multiple projects. Prepare quotations and submit to customer.
