CAD Drafter - (Maple Lake, MN)

Job overview Our Drafting position works in our Process Design department. They are responsible for the drafting of sheet metal parts, stamping tooling, and any other tooling/parts needs here. As well as building In-house drawings for all of our operations. Assignments include: Draft sheet metal parts from customer prints and review for approval. Design and support new: metal stamping dies, CNC fixtures, welding fixtures and checking jigs. Troubleshoot tooling when issues arise during production. Prioritize new tooling, maintenance on existing tooling, and broken tooling, for max uptime with production. Modify existing tooling designs to accommodate customer part revision level changes. Work with estimating, production leads, and management to ensure part-per-hour estimations are attainable with process design. Assist with tool assembly and maintenance as needed. Qualification requirements: Use and skill using Solidworks software, sheet metal skills are a big plus.
